We were very impressed by Hotel Jacobs. We stayed here last week for a last-minute night away for half term. I like the location. In the old town, but just outside the main centre, it is a very pleasant, 5-7 minute walk through a lovely, quieter area. That makes it VERY easy to drive to and park up outside the hotel to off-load or collect luggage. The desk staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. They were more than happy to go out of their way to help in whatever way, make recommendations for places to see and bars and restaurants to visit, etc., and recommend a (free) car park at Boogschutterslaan. We had booked a quadruple room, and I have to say it is one of the nicest family rooms we have stayed in, anywhere. The room was made up of two interconnected rooms, both of which were of a very good size: perfect for getting the girls to bed in one while we have a beer-nightcap from the perfect little bar downstairs, in the other. It is definitely worth paying a little extra to get the much bigger room. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was huge with a lovely walk-in shower. Everything was spotless. We arrived early, but the desk manager was happy for us to book in then, and while the room was not quite ready at that point (he did check), we had a message not too long later to say we could get our room at any point from then. Meanwhile, they were more than happy to let us leave our bags in their storage room, as well as on the second day when we left. Breakfast was superb, with a fantastic range of fresh bread, fruit, pastries, and all the usual cereals, etc., as well as perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and back bacon. We had a lovely stay and our only issue (regret) is that we didn’t book at least another night. Until the next time, as we will be back....

We had a clean, quiet and cozy place.. The room was relatively small yet we had everything we needed.. The staff was friendly and showed us the must-see locations, recommended places to eat etc. It's 10min away by walking from the historic site, such as Belfry.. Within 3 min walking, you can reach to the bus stop for number 2, which comes/goes to the Bruges Train Station.. I'd like to add a note for early arrivers, the rooms are mostly available around 3, check-in time is 4pm, you can use the luggage room if you arrive early, luckily Jacobs was the only place that prepared my room before my arrival during my stay in Belgium, including the other hotels in Brussels and Gent.. So a biiiiiig, huuuuuge thanks to the staff once again..

Very friendly and helpful staff, great location and quite area at night, very close to the bus stop, well connected with the city centre and the station, small walking distance to the city centre. Hotel was clean and bed was very comfortable, warm bedroom, breakfast was excellent but small choice. Very nice hotel, we will book again if we will come back to Bruges.

Great location, in a peaceful historic part of town only 10 minute walk into the centre. Very good breakfast selection served across a generous window 8-10. Lovely spacious room and very comfortable bed. We paid a bit more for a superior room. Friendly staff. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out to spend our final day in Bruges.

Janice

Lovely hotel in a nice quiet location just outside the busy areas but only a 10/15 walk (with young kids) to the centre. The decor was great. The family room with adjoining room was perfect for us with plenty of space for 4. Breakfast was great, loads of choice and availability. Staff were excellent, always friendly and happy to help.
